We have tried several litters for Zeus, and found that Ever Clean Premium Clumping Cat Litter was the best brand for us. We have tried several scents from Ever Clean from the Unscented to Carbon Plus. All these special formulas contain Fresh-Guard scent for those extra strong litter box odors and sometimes we really need it especially when the box is on the 1st floor. A fresh clean scent is release immediately when in contact with moisture, working only when needed so you do no get overwhelmed with the scent, and it’s just enough. We hardly have to change out the litter now, which saves time and money for us.Unlike some regular clay litters, Ever Clean Premium Clumping Litter absorbs the liquid into solid clumps which prevents it from reaching the bottom of the box where it really gets stinky! They have this activated charcoal that grabs and holds on to odors. The Carbon neutralizes and eliminates odors. Along with an antimicrobial agent that is added to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria…whew that was a lot!
Discarding the clumps and waste keeps Zeus’ box smelling fresh and clean. Weekly maintenance is real easy, we just add a bit more litter every week to replace what was used and freshen it up! Zeus and his friends really like Ever Clean because it is cleaner, more natural, virtually dust free and hypo-allergenic which makes him sneeze less. The sand like consistency is easier on their sensitive paws than other clay litters.

I was really afraid it would be to strong, but it is just enough to give it that gentle scent of Lavender, which I like and Zeus seems to like as well.
